Rorochan_1999 was the online screen name of a 13 - 14 year old girl possibly named Roro. She would livestream on sites such as Nico Nico Douga, FC2 and TwitCasting. She preffered to livestream on days when no one was home since she couldn't be on the internet with her parents knowing. Even using the internet feature on her Nintendo DS when other devices were taken away due to her internet usage since he mother didn't know the DS could use the internet. She would livestream with livestream titles such as "【生放送】エロいメンヘラ処女jc を開始しました。" ([Live broadcast] Erotic menhera virgin jc started.)
Ruru's livestream consisted of her singing, playing, playing her piano. There are people saying that she would also stand at the ledge of tall buildings and run through uncoming traffic but there's not really any proof of that. Despite the FBI attempting to delete the livestreams, there's been archived clips of her livestreams that can be found all around the internet.
On November 17 2014, Ruru posted on the imageboard Futabe Channel (or 2chan) about her desire to jump off of the emergency platform in between the 13 and 14 floor of her apartment building, stating that it is in order to become a legend. She expressed many emotions throughout those seven 2chan posts. On the 24th of November 2014, Ruru would begin her last livestream. It began with the camera pointed at herself, she was wearing a mask to cover her face. For a few moments, not much could be seen as the camera is just pointed at the ground while she moved outside. From what could be visible, she stood on top of something in order to get on top of the ledge where she pointed the phone camera down below. She probably wanted to jump with the camera in her hands but she dropped it, the phone landing on a balcony facing up at the ceiling. A few seconds later, she jumped. She was found by a delivery person and taken to the hospital where she passed away three hours later. Her mother was called but didn't bother to go see her.
In 2020, a song was released by the Japanese rock band Shinsei Kamattechan called Ruru's Suicide Shouw on a Livestream. It is a song about teenage depression and suicide. With it's release, it also brought attention to Rorochan's case. The only real link between the song and Rorochan is the name of the character in the music video, Ruru, while the real girl was Roro. Along with commiting suicide on livestream.
The character in the music video is called Ruru. She is an original character created by Noko who is the vocalist for the band. Ruru's design, from what I personally believe, could be inspired by the character Kosame Amagai from the 2018 anime Mahou Shoujo Site (or Magical Girl Site). Some similarities being the hair, one eye being covered, the green top of the school uniform with the green bow, the pink sweater and white socks. The shoes seem like the same type but they're two different colors.
Mahou Shojou Site is a great anime that I love. Honestly, I don't understand what people mean when they say they don't like it for "being too edgy". I still like it anyway.
Cast a Spell is a song by the VOCALOID producer Guchiry. The music video is illustrated by Himanemuitoma.
Guchiry's comment "Hello, this is Guchiry. This is a story about returning a curse. After all, everyone admires magic circles, even though I can't draw them.. Also, chanting is nice, isn't it? It's cool and I really like it. When I was in elementary school, I used to chant Kido from BLEACH a lot. Even now, I can fully chant "Black Coffin". Seeping crest of turbidity… Arrogant vessel of lunacy…"
Cast a Spell is about the main character Akari who is a high school student who likely gets bullied. She desires revenge. To solve her bullying problem, she cast's a spell to get rid of her bullies. It goes terribly wrong.
What interested me the most was the ritual itself. The occult fascinates me. The idea of being able to do a simple ritual and the people who have been bullying me go away, it's amazing. Haven't you ever wanted that too? To have all the mean people go away? Now I can write all about it. In the past, I've attempted to write down the whole process to do the ritual. Here's how it goes.
